2009 has had it's ups and downs for Ms. Kelis Rogers-Jones. She is in the process of divorcing her husband, legendary QB emcee Nas but they had a beautiful child together. They were also embattled in a brutal spousal/child support tug of war but now some of her money woes may be over for the moment because she announced earlier today(12/3) that she will be signing to the house that Jimmy built, Interscope Records.

According to Black Vibes, Her deal will be through Will.I.Am's imprint will.i.am Music Group which is distributed by The 'Scope. Will.I.Am had this to say about why signing Kelis to his label was a no brainer,

"Kelis represents the kind of edge that pushes all of us not just musically but stylistically as well. She has always opened new doors for her audience and we're ready to walk through this next one with her."

And of course, Ms. Kelis was optimistic about her move,

"I love that I am now a new part of the Interscope family. 2010 is around the corner and I can't wait to put out new music and spend time with real music fans on tour again."
